Lovingly crafted by a friend of Art Connecting Hearts. Each painting provides 10 eye exams or eyeglasses for two children in need.

Curtis Haynes is a Wichita Artist who specializes in working on acrylic panels. His process involves painting in details first on the back side of the acrylic panels and then working to the background. The front of the panels remain covered by a protective sheet so the results are not revealed until the protective sheet is removed.

His work is featured at Gallery 12 in Wichita and at the Carriage Factory Gallery in Newton. He has been featured in many local shows including City Arts, and Gallery 12 in Wichita, the Carriage Factory Gallery in Newton, One Door North in McPherson, the Salina Art Center, and Midtown Gallery at Clayworks in Hutchison.

Curtis is happy to participate in this project with Balbir Mathur to help support the vision needs of underprivileged children. He understands the role of good vision in the creative process and wants to see all children have access to vision aids that will help them grow personally and academically.
